The legend of the world football — one of the greatest player of all time — Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60 on Wednesday. He suffered from cardiac arrest on early Wednesday at his home where he lost his life. Some reporters claimed that the doctor who checked him tried to revive him but weren’t successful. The news of Maradona’s death has shocked the whole wide world and now millions of fans are mourning his death.
Maradona was a beast on the pitch but his life off the pitch was wicked and often controversial. He was addicted to drugs and alcohol during his active playing career. The national team of Argentina and FIFA banned him from playing professional football for 15 months. He even missed the 1994 World Cup after failing to pass the drug tests. Three years later, he took retirement and then suffered several health issues. He always suffered different health problems every once in a while.
Earlier this month, he was admitted to hospital and undergone surgery for a blood clot on his brain. Maradona has undergone a few other surgeries for his stomach and knee. He has also suffered heart attacks multiple times in his life. He had been continuously receiving treatment for alcohol dependency prior to his death.

No matter how horrible was his life and habits, his football career was always incredible. He has 354 official goals for both club and country after appearing in 694 matches. He played for Italian club Napoli from 1984 till 1991, where he won two Serie A titles, an Italian Cup, and a UEFA Cup. Before moving to Naples, he appeared in 36 games for Spanish giants, Barcelona.
His major football achievement has to be the 1986 World Cup victory. This was the same time where the Hand of God was evolved, During the quarter-final matcha against England, he scored a hand goal crushing England’s world cup dream. Apart from the hand goal, he amazingly dominated the world cup with his amazing play and received the Golden Ball.

Sources revealed that the former Napoli midfielder has an estimated net worth of $100,000 ( around £75,000). Even though he was a well-earned player, he tried to avoid paying taxes. The Italian government claimed that the player still owned €37 million in taxes to them. Italian Police reportedly seized two luxury watches and earrings to recover the unpaid taxes.
